The Dundee Scottish Festival is fun for the whole family!
Kids will enjoy performances, games, and a variety activities.

Once filled, bring it to the Festival Information tent for a prize.

Best Celtic Dressed Youth
Come dressed in Celtic garb (clothing) It may be a kilt or Renaissance or something similar. You may also bring 5 yards of tartan (plaid) fabric (six yards for those five feet tall and taller) from home and learn to fold your own kilt or borrow fabric from us. (see schedule) Meet at the Pipers Circle for this event.
Categories are by age and grade level:
-Baby, 0 – 12 months
-Toddler, 1 and 2 year olds
-Preschool, 3 and 4 year olds
-Elementary, entering kindergarten to fifth grade
-Junior High, entering 6th through 8th grades
-High School, entering 9-12th grades.
Youth Highland Games
Location on the Youth Highland Games Field
Open to ages 8 to 12.Girls and Boys. No experience necessary!  Wearing of a kilt not necessary.
Try your hand at all of the events just like the adult Highland Games
An instructor and a judge are present. Learn as you go.
Each event, first through third place, will receive a rosette ribbon. Others will receive a participation ribbon.These awards will be given out at the end of each event.
The youth with the most points totaled from all five events will be presented a silver engraved quaich.
You must participate in all five events to qualify for the quaich.
The quaich presentation will be given at the Massed Band at 5:00pm during the awards for the Adult Highland Games
Each Youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The parent or guardian must sign a waiver form.
Events:
1. Braemar or Stone Throw for distance
2. Weight Throw for distance
3. Stone Toss for height
4. Sheaf Toss for height
5. Caber Toss for accuracy
A Rope Pulling Contest will be on the Adult Games Field during the day and does not include points for the event
